Helm-X returned to Paris Airshow for our 12th consecutive appearance providing our services at this bi-annular show, trusted yet again to deliver Boeing’s hospitality pavilion. This year’s design featured a 35x15m portal frame building built in 3 weeks on the runway at Le Bourget Airport, Paris. Helm-X designed, supplied and installed the steel frame, cladding, roofing, glazing and internal floor. Flippers roller skate disco, Westfield, White City London. Helm-X supplied and installed an extension to an existing mezzanine at the site as part of its conversion into a nightclub. This forms the viewing gallery for the rollerskating rink. At fishermede there were 72 residential units split over 4 blocks, each requiring a fire escape from each level. Helm-X designed, supplied and installed these fire escapes and structural steel enclosures, encased in powdercoated aluminium box section slat cladding.

Royal Mail Delivery Office, Brighton. Helm-X supplied and installed this up and over staircase and balustrade providing service and maintenance access over ventilation ducts on the roof.

Bespoke steel gates with aluminium backing. Our client approached us with hand sketches and a clear image of how they wanted the gates to be. We worked closely together to convert this meticulously into detailed CAD drawings, and fabricate the frame from intricate laser cut mild steel plate components, with a water jet cut aluminium plate backboard finished in grey to maximise the impact of the scrollwork. The steelwork is concrete etch primed and powdercoated to give it a crisp finish with equal protection to galvanizing.

Boeing Pavilion frame at Paris Airshow 2023 – The steel portal frame completed awaiting the cold rolled purlins. This year’s design featured a new 45m2 terrace joining the front gable end, with composite aluminium decking.

Helm-X returned in 2023 to Wentworth for the PGA Championship as a trusted partner of BMW, providing the centrepiece of their Multimedia hospitality village. The sun sets over Hyde House. This extension on the grounds of a country house is to be used as a wedding venue reception area. The steel framed building was supplied and installed by Helm-x, composite cladding was installed on the roof and walls before being finished by Harvey Shopfitters.

Steel frame decked in D100 decking and 18mm chipboard, staircase and powdercoated glass balustrade around the perimeter. 1 day install allowing rapid transgression for following trades.

We supplied and installed a mezzanine floor inside the VW pavilion at Goodwood FOS, on behalf of Accio events. The stand was complete with staircase and stainless steel and glass balustrade. We also installed wire rope balustrade to the steps and ramp leading up to the pavilion.

Lockheed Martin Chalet at Dubai Airshow on behalf of SDD. The building comprises of 2 floors, with a downstairs terrace, a first floor terrace, and a roof terrace. Half of the building is cladded with composite panels, the other half is glazed with blue tinted 21.5mm laminated glass. The terrace areas have baluster free glass balustrade. Access to the 1st floor is via a glazed internal staircase. Front access to the ground floor is via a glazed ramp with canopy, access to the rear by a staircase. There is also a fire escape for access to the first floor and roof terrace. The floors were decked with metal decking and then layers of plywood. The roof and terrace areas had a waterproof membrane and gutter system fitted. All of this work took our site team 5 weeks to complete.

Patek Philipe Grande Exhibition, Saatchi Gallery, London. Various metalwork and structural steelwork provided for Central. The photo shows the bespoke Royal Room, which displayed the watch made for Queen Victoria, Patek Philipe has been the supplier of watches for royalty ever since. The room was assembled from box section powder coated metalwork supplied and fitted by Helm-X. The challenge of drawing, fabricating, and fitting a steel staircase complete with stainless/glass balustrade in 5 days was met! Work on behalf of Big Exhibits.

Reading Station retail units. 3 steel and glass prefabricated retail units were constructed at the new overbridge at Reading Station. The units were designed, fabricated, assembled and glazed with 21.5mm 'bomb proof' toughened laminate during engineering hours. Each unit was partitioned creating a total of 6 shops. Work carried out on behalf of Proteus Architects. These units, rented out by Upper Crust and Land's End, opted for the more open front design with roller shutters.

Boots and Hotel Chocolate are currently leasing these steel and glass retail units fabricated and assembled at Reading Station on behalf of Proteus Architects. The Boots unit is the largest of the 6 units.

Warm air cowl at Cheltenham Museum and Art Gallery. A bespoke sheet metal cowl was designed, fabricated and fitted to the museum main entrance. A steel frame was fixed into the concrete either side of the air conditioner to which powdercoated aluminium panels and air grills were attached.

Guess GC waterfall feature. The waterfalls spanned from the mezanine roof to floor level drawing attention to the watch showcases they housed. David Bowie is....The fastest selling exhibition in the history of the V&A museum. Helm-X made the stunning feature possible, an 8.8m square wall was made up of 16 powdercoated 2.2m square box frame units which bolted together to form the wall. Selected boxes house Bowie's most recognizable costumes and the glass fronts collectively form a huge projection screen for an overwhelming visual display of Bowie's life.
